True Education is that which while being trained in various skills and disciplines also gives the capacity to be awake to the process of his/her own thinking, feeling and action. There is a questioning today of the basic postulates of the educational structure and its various systems in India and in the rest of the world. Every where there is a growing apprehension in the minds of the people that there is a total lack of relevance between the human being and the complex contemporary society. The ultimate aim of education to a child should be to equip the child with the most excellent technological proficiency, so that he/she may function with clarity and efficiency in the modern world and far more important than this is, to create the right climate, so that he/she may develop fully as a complete human being. There is no right relationship to any thing if there is not the right feeling for beauty, response to nature, to music and art and also a highly developed aesthetic sense. To develop a holistic personality we have to cultivate in the child the knowledge which enables it to gain mastery over technical skills and intelligence which is born of observation and self knowing. There is also, a confusion in the minds of the parents and teachers about discipline and freedom. Infact freedom should be coupled with an inner order in the child and that order is the discipline; If it is rightly understood, there would not be any sort of confusion in the minds of children, school authorities and the parents. Delhi Public School at Vijayawada endeavours to develop in the child knowledge so that he/she would adjust and lead a comfortable life in the technologically oriented society. And also the institution takes every care to develop in the child sensitivity by encouraging him/her to take part in various activities, hobbies etc., in the school. 1. P.G.T Officiated as Vice-Principal in Donyipolo, Vidya Bhaban which is a member of IPC Arunachal Pradesh.

Prime Minister & other Cabinet Ministers of India.

Vice Principal's Message

We have entered into the fifth successful year at Vijayawada. While assessing our operations at DPS, we take pride in the contributions we have made as of now. We keep wondering and questioning our selves how to erase the out-moded ways of educational system of the 20th Century and bring in a new wave in the educational trends suitable for the Gen next, considering the swiftness of the pace and quality improvement in all areas of students life. We at DPS have developed unique academic and non-academic programmes to address the situation.

We believe that “excellence” shouldn’t be a burden and achievement shouldn’t be a rope around our children’s neck. Doing well should be a choice, a gift, a chance, and a pleasure. Learning should be a joy. This is the mission statement of DPS Vijayawada and we have a well planned strategy to achieve this in the 14 years a child spends with us.

All our activities are targeted at developing an integrated personality in the child and bring up to our mission statement. What we are imparting to our children are the life skills necessary to handle the global explosion phenomenon. A proper direction is absolutely necessary, considering the kind of exposure they get from TV, www, Movies, Music, religious teachers, and yes, from the dozens of teachers they’ve had, and also from their immediate and extended families. Let us work together for the betterment of our future society.
